Changing lives one camper at a time…
Welcome to Ten4Two: The Harriet Malkin Memorial Scholarship Fund, where we raise money to send kids of single parents to summer camp. My grandmother, Harriet Malkin, couldn’t afford to send my dad to camp. Through a scholarship, he was able to attend his first summer at Camp Laurelwood at age 12. This experience changed his life, and now my sister and I have been campers and counselors since 2015. I created this non-profit to give other kids the opportunities we have had at camp.
What does TEN 4 TWO mean? The expression “Ten For Two” refers to campers and staff who say they wait 10 months out of the year to get to the 2 months they spend at their beloved sleepaway camps.
